Board Members

The Board Members partner with the Executive Director to guide Catalyst Coalition and ensure that the mission is always front and center. The members encourage innovation, help develop strategic plans and initiatives, and provided oversight and accountability to the organization. Each Board Member has essential and diverse experiences that align with the purpose of Catalyst Coalition.

  • Dr. W. Jan daehnert - Professor at Dallas Baptist University

    I grew up in San Antonio where Calvary Baptist Church saw me come to Christ at the age of 9. That church coached me as God called into Ministry and ordained me as I started 60 years of ministry in May, 1962. The Lord led Carol Akin and me in our marriage vows in 1963. We have a grown son and daughter whose each family has a son and daughter. Most of my life has been spent being a bivocational pastor in 44 churches and mentoring University students as I currently minister as Associate Professor of Biblical studies at Dallas Baptist university. I thank God for His calling on Stephanie as we find better ways to diversify making a difference in lives often forgotten.

  • Aaron de la torre

    My name is Aaron Lemuel De La Torre, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart Nelly De La Torre for twelve years. God blessed us with three children, which are Hannah (11 years old), Rebecca (10 years old), and Aaron Gabriel (6 years old). I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2007, a Master of Science degree with a major in Communication Science and Disorders from The University of Texas A&M Kingsville in 2009, a Master of Arts degree with a major in Applied Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophy from Dallas Baptist University with a focus in Leadership in Ministry. 


    I currently serve as an associate pastor at Iglesia Bautista de la Comunidad in Hidalgo, Texas, alongside my father, senior pastor Aaron De La Torre. I am also a Speech Language Pathologist that serves the geriatric population.

  • chris holloway - director of the pedersen residential college at dallas baptist university

    Christopher Holloway serves as the Ford Village Director at Dallas Baptist University where he oversees leadership development of the living-learning communities. He is a student of leadership as well as he is a doctoral candidate in leadership at DBU. His 14 years of college student experience has created a love and passion for mentoring the next generation. In addition to this, Christopher is the owner of Holloway Catering, specializing in preparing charcuterie boards and spreads for various events throughout the year.


    In his free time, you can find Christopher finding fun places to eat in Dallas, paddle boarding and cycling, traveling around the world, seeing musicals, watching baseball, and his absolute favorite time, BEING UNCLE CHRIS!!!

  • J. Morgan malone - executive director of the denton baptist association

    I am excited to be a part of Stephanie's Executive Board. I have been actively serving in ministry for 38 years. I started out as an associate pastor, then became a senior pastor and I am now the Executive Director of Denton Baptist Association. I have been married to Cathy for 36 years. We have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 dogs. I enjoy playing racquetball, camping with Cathy and playing with the grandchildren.

  • Audrie Jones - CFRE, Director of development at elisio

    Audrie is an experienced Director Of Development with a demonstrated history of working in the nonprofit arts industry. Skilled in Fundraising, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Writing, and Grant Writing. She is a strong support professional with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) focused in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

  • Dr. tamara l. holmes - business guru on a mission to impact the world

    Over the past 20 years, Tamara's work experience has allowed her to serve in various areas of business, including human resources, sales and marketing, operations, management, and public relations for private sector and government entities. Her tasks have ranged from developing policies and procedures; to building successful relationships with key clients and constituents; to developing marketing and business strategies; as well as business and nonprofit consulting. Tamara enjoy working in diverse environments and bringing people and cultures together to foster dialogue, understanding, and collaboration.

    It is Tamara's desire to live and work in purpose and to utilize her business skills and professional experience to positively impact the lives of others - especially women and girls - in local communities and around the world through education and economic development initiatives. Her personal philosophy is, “to whom much is given, much is required.”

    In 2007, Tamara established The Epiphany Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls globally to break cycles of poverty. Since establishing the foundation, she has discovered her passion and my purpose. She has worked with several community and international organizations, including the U.S. National Committee for UN Women and Soroptimist International of Dallas, as well as served on the Advisory Council of the Soroptimist Fund of the Dallas Foundation and the Board of Governors of La Cima Club. Tamara has also been fortunate to lead projects to support orphanages in Kenya and Jamaica. She enjoys coordinating philanthropic initiatives, traveling, and living her divine purpose of serving as an Ambassador for Christ and planting seeds for a life of abundance.

  • Elizabeth Thompson - Diagnostician at fulbright & associates

    Elizabeth grew up in a pastor’s home in Kansas. After graduating from Baylor, she and her husband Todd moved to Denton, where she earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology at UNT. Since 1990, she has worked for a private practice in Dallas providing neuropsychological assessment for individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injury. Elizabeth has also spent several years in college ministry, partnering with other local ministries, to serve the large student population in Denton. In 2004, she expanded her ministry outreach by teaching at Bible conferences, which has given her several opportunities to share the truth of God’s word to encourage all believers.

     

    Elizabeth and Todd have three children, two amazing sons-in-law, and two grandchildren, all of whom bring delight to her and the world around them.

  • Lee Ann Heath - LPC-S

    Lee Ann's professional experience is derived from working in various settings which focused on relationships. She was able to utilize her knowledge in hospital settings to work with families who were dealing with a chronic illness and to counsel on how to cope physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Lee Ann has worked with families whose children required a highly structured environment to deal with their severe emotional problems. She also worked with families who were involved with foster care and adoption. 


    Additional experiences were gained while serving as Executive Director for both a Children’s Museum and a Habitat for Humanity affiliate; also while serving as the Director of Volunteer Resources for a Christian service organization.

    Earl is an independent consultant with over 20 years of executive leadership and senior management experience, including 15+ years of substantive work in mediation, facilitation and training on matters associated with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. He is well-versed in public policy, program administration and conflict resolution management. Earl is a dynamic and relational leader with a proven track record of forward thinking, building diverse and successful teams, fostering positive professional relationships, collaborating with internal/external partners and stakeholders and developing talent equitably. He has a strong ability to communicate both verbally and written to diverse audiences at all levels of an organization.
